Company profile
About 65 years ago Johann Pfandl,
an engineer and advertiser, established
the lege artis dental trading company in
Austria, thus laying the foundation stone
for the successful family firm.
At the beginning of the 1950s the company began developing and producing
proprietary medicinal products for dentistry, specialising in the field of
tooth preservation.
Soon afterwards the company headquarters were moved to Germany.
In August 1972 the medium-sized company, which was now under the
management of Mag. pharm. Kurt Pfandl, the son of the founder, moved once
again from Stuttgart to the new company buildings in Dettenhausen,
in the district of Tübingen.
It is here that most of the company's products are developed and
manufactured today.
Since 1997 Dr. Brigitte Bartelt has been the managing director of lege artis
Pharma GmbH + Co KG. Under her management the company has received
certification according to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485.
Today, in addition to products for tooth
preservation, lege artis also manufactures
preparations for the prophylaxis and
treatment of pain caused by diseases of
the teeth and oral mucosa.
These include, for example, products
such as HYPOSEN©, a desensitizer for
the treatment of pain in hypersensitive
tooth necks, and LEGASED© natur for the
treatment of aphthae, mild inflammations
of the oral mucosa and regions subject to
pressure from prostheses.

implants that is not a mechanical cleansing agent, but a cosmetic care
product for the preservation of dental implants:
